Learning French as a Foreign Language (FLE): The Essentials for Non-French Speakers.

Have you heard of "FLE" or "FLM" and are wondering what these terms mean? Let us shed some light on these concepts and guide you towards learning French as a Foreign Language (FLE)!

FLM, or French as a mother tongue, is the language spoken by people born in a French-speaking country. It is the first language learned from childhood at home and at school. On the other hand, French as a Foreign Language (FLE) is taught abroad or to individuals whose mother tongue is different.

FLE is aimed at those who do not speak French, such as immigrants, ERASMUS students, political refugees, young learners, expatriates, etc. It is taught in universities, language schools for foreigners, associations, or private organizations offering language courses.

If you want to learn French to integrate into your host country, for professional reasons, or for travel, FLE is for you. At the Evolution Institute, we offer FLE courses throughout the year to meet your needs.

We are in La Courneuve (93120), ideally located near the terminus of metro line 7, the T1 tram and several buses.
